Welcome and food and setting
Spacious rooms and beautiful scenery. Staff were very friendly and helpful, for example we arrived after lunch had finished but the staff offered us hot soup and sandwiches instead.
We were in room 16 and found it a little dark, if the ceilings were painted white it may have been brighter. My wife felt a bit exposed in the room to people in the garden and dining room extension but if net curtains were fitted we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the views.
The staff were very helpful and the location beautiful.
Unfortunately a a single traveller I felt my room was very poor compared with the main building double rooms - it was in an outside block and was quite basic despite being expensive. There were also cobwebs on the wall.Friends in main house had luxurious room by contrast.
staff were really friendly ,helpful and efficient, room was clean and comfortable with great views of the countryside, food was excellent, would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful property - relaxing - welcoming hosts
Web access a bit complicated
All the staff were very helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable, especially as our son has food allergies. All three generations of our party thought it was a lovely hotel.
The young lady on reception was excellent and multi-tasked, polite and took great care of my requirements of Room Service etc which was greatly appreciated thereby enabling me to work.
A comfortable stay in a countryside hotel with excellent dining facilities and very attentive and friendly staff
Some minor refurbishment was underway to upgrade the hotel but this did not spoil our stay
The building ad the friendly helpful staff
Ideally situated for visiting daughter at Aberystwyth University just 5 minutes by car. Beautiful location with stunning panamoric views from the bedroom. Very comfotable and stylish accommodation. Delicious breakfast with an excellent choice available. Very friendly and attentive staff.I Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
No complaints, all excellent.
The hotel is in a beautiful location with some fantastic views across the valley. The room was very nice, spacious and with the aforementioned views - excellent !
The staff did their best but seemed to be overstretched carrying our reception and waiter duties at the same time, leading to dealys in the food coming out. The food was acceptable but nothing to go overboard about. Also ordered a side salad at nearly £4 and recieved a tiny bowl of green leaves.
Great food and a fantastic room with friendly service.
Friendly staff, good service and great views.
On three separate occasions we needed to request that our radiators were turned on as the room was chilly.
I thought it was an excellent hotel.the staff were welcoming , friendly and informative.it was in a wonderful location , the hotel itself was beautiful, clean and spacious.we ate dinner there which was tasty and reasonably priced and the breakfast in the morning was to die for.what s great place to stay .
excellent service, food and cleanliness of the accomodation.Superb setting in the country-side.close proximity to Aberystwyth and beaches.
